Postural Rehabilitation in Burlington

Structured work on how you hold and move your body, built around what a postural assessment finds.

Why Posture Gets Attention Here

How the body holds itself affects how every part of it works. Forward head posture, rounded shoulders and a flattened neck curve are patterns we see constantly, and they tend to build slowly through desk work, phone use and driving.

Dr. Brad and Dr. Lynne have built their practice around this, and postural analysis is part of the assessment for everyone who comes in, not an add-on.

What the Work Involves

Postural rehabilitation combines hands-on chiropractic care with specific exercises and adjustments to how you sit, stand and set up your working day. The exercise side matters, because posture is held by muscles and habits, and those respond to training rather than to treatment alone.

You get a set of things to do at home between visits. How involved that is depends on what we find and what fits your week.

We will recommend specific postural exercises, and possibly traction exercises, depending on your needs.

Who It Suits

People with neck and shoulder tension from desk work, headaches that track back to how they hold their head, mid-back stiffness, and parents who have noticed a child developing a forward head or uneven shoulders.

We assess how you stand and move, not only where it hurts, and we talk you through what we find before starting anything.

How is this different from regular chiropractic care?

It uses the same assessment and hands-on care, with more emphasis on structured exercise and on changing the daily habits that shape posture over time.

Do I need to do exercises at home?

Yes, that side of it does much of the work. We keep the home programme realistic and go through it with you.

How long does it take to see a change?

That varies with the person, the pattern and how long it has been building. We reassess as we go so you can see what is changing.

Is it suitable for children?

Postural habits often start young, and we assess children as well as adults. Get in touch and we can talk about whether it makes sense in your case.
