And as promised, today I am going to teach you how you and your children can interact better with technology and minimize the effects of digital dementia.
The first thing is multi-tasking.
This actually causes your brain to take longer to accomplish tasks. Focusing on a single task only results in significantly higher brain function.
Also, turning off the notifications on all your electronic devices will minimize auditory distractions which will help you to stay focused on your work.
But, the biggest thing is sitting.
If you sit on a posture disc or exercise ball this will engage your brain to function at a higher level.
When you sit on a posture disc or exercise ball you are constantly moving; slightly front to back and side to side.
Why is this important?
Because our brains crave movement. Our brains actually thrive with complex movements.
And, sitting on a posture disc or exercise ball also conditions your core muscles which will help to stabilize your lumbar spine (lower back).
So, to recap – focus on one task at a time, eliminate electronic notifications, use a posture disc or exercise ball when sitting and make sure to get your regular chiropractic check-ups to maintain good postural hygiene.
The benefits – higher levels of brain function, reduced effects of digital dementia, core muscle conditioning and good posture.
